SABORFUSION AWARDS
During the first edition of the congress, the first SaborFusion Awards were presented.
The winners were:
Israel Gata (executive chef of the Hotel Breathless Resort & Spa in Punta Cana) and Saverio Stassi (executive chef of the Ajualä restaurant): SaborFusion Award for Best Head Chef.
Chanel Molina (baker at Morisoñando restaurant) and Ariel Peñalva (in the Dominican Republic since 2005 and with extensive professional experience in Argentina and Cuba): SaborFusion Award for Best Baker.
Dominican Academy of Gastronomy and Geo Ripley (In charge of the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture of the Dominican Republic): Special SaborFusion Award.
